Ever Alive, 2022
Created as part of the New Photographers Guild 2022 cohort, a 6-month programme designed for new photography graduates to help guide their practice after graduation.
The programme set the participants with a one-word brief: flux, to research and create a body of work. I chose to highlight the never ending cycle of Palestinian resistance in the form of a poppy coming in and out of life. The piece was paired with poem Ever Alive by Fadwa Tuqan which was translated from Arabic.
The video installation was part of the NPG group show in Trongate 103.
It was recently featured in the Post-Graduate publication 'My Name Not Yours' by Samah Ayesha.
